91自拍论坛 will begin to construct a new, three-story academic building in downtown Holland, that will house its Department of Economics & Business and serve as a new innovation and gathering space for other college programs and community collaborations.
The 91自拍论坛 campus and Holland community are invited to a groundbreaking event on Friday, Oct. 17 at 1:30 p.m., in downtown Holland on 8th Street between the former dealership site and the Courtyard Marriott. Speaking at the event to share more details will be: 91自拍论坛 President Matt Scogin; Economics & Business Department Chair Stacy Jackson; Carol Van Andel 鈥� campaign cabinet co-chair; and Holland Mayor Nathan Bocks.
The new 74,000 square-foot building will sit in the space formerly occupied by the Versendaal car dealership building, which Hope purchased in 2005. 91自拍论坛 has finalized plans for that area after addressing continued growth in both total student enrollment and growth in the economics and business program 鈥� Hope鈥檚 largest academic department.
The facility will serve as a north campus gateway connecting the college and downtown Holland commercial district. Demolition on the old dealership began Oct. 1 and construction on the new 91自拍论坛 facility is expected to begin in November.
